What Is a Founding Driver?
A Founding Driver is one of the first drivers to join Skagit Dash during its early development and soft-launch stage.
These drivers will help establish the standard for how Skagit Dash deliveries are handled throughout the community.
Founding Drivers may also have the opportunity to provide feedback as we continue improving training, communication, delivery procedures, and the overall driver experience.
This does not mean drivers are expected to figure everything out on their own.
Skagit Dash is being designed around clear expectations, practical training, and thoughtful support from the beginning.
Every Driver Will Complete the Skagit Dash Driver Academy
Before accepting their first delivery, Skagit Dash drivers will complete the Skagit Dash Driver Academy.
The Academy is being created to help drivers feel prepared, confident, and professional when representing the company.
Training will cover areas such as:
- Professional communication
- Restaurant pickup procedures
- Food handling and order care
- Customer delivery expectations
- Delivery safety
- Problem-solving during an active delivery
- Protecting customer and restaurant information
- Representing Skagit Dash professionally
A delivery driver is often the only person a customer meets face-to-face.
That interaction matters.
The goal of the Driver Academy is not to make the process complicated. It is to give drivers the tools and confidence they need to provide consistently good service.
Fairness and Transparency Matter
Skagit Dash is being built with a strong focus on fair and transparent driver compensation.
Drivers should be able to understand what they are being offered before accepting a delivery.
They should not have to guess how a delivery was calculated or feel pressured into accepting work that does not make sense for them.
Our final driver-pay structure is being developed carefully so it can support drivers while also creating a sustainable business that can grow responsibly.
The goal is not to make flashy promises that disappear later.
The goal is to build a dependable local platform that treats people fairly and can still be serving Skagit County years from now.

You do not need to be perfect or have years of delivery experience.
We are looking for people who are:

- Careful with food and customer orders

- Able to remain calm when something does not go exactly as planned
A positive attitude, good judgment, and genuine care for people matter just as much as prior delivery experience.
