Skagit Dash Founding Community Supporter Benefit Terms
Version 1.1
Effective upon publication
1. Scope
These terms govern benefits associated with verified payments to the Skagit Dash Founding Community campaign. They supplement the Skagit Dash Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Founding Community Refund Policy. If a more specific written term conflicts with these terms, the more specific term controls the issue it addresses.
2. Nature of campaign support
Skagit Dash is a for-profit local business. A Founding Community payment:
- supports the development and careful launch of Skagit Dash;
- is not represented as a tax-deductible charitable donation;
- does not provide ownership, equity, repayment, interest, profit participation, voting rights, or other investment rights; and
- does not guarantee a launch date, service area, restaurant partner, delivery opportunity, employment opportunity, Community Table activation, or number of meals.
Only verified, settled payments count toward public campaign progress or supporter-benefit eligibility.
3. Campaign goal and use of funds
The campaign has a $20,000 founding goal. Verified funds may be used for the disclosed launch allocation whether or not the campaign reaches the full goal. Launch-critical work will be prioritized first. Material changes to the allocation will be explained through campaign updates.
Verified support above $20,000 will be directed first toward launch-critical cost changes and then toward approved restaurant onboarding, driver readiness, route planning, customer support, and local outreach capacity.
4. Benefit levels
Benefit eligibility is based on the final verified amount retained after any refund, reversal, dispute, or chargeback.
| Verified amount | Benefit level | Included benefits |
|---|---|---|
| $5–$49 | Founding Supporter | Digital thank-you, campaign progress updates, optional supporter-wall listing, and private recognition by default. |
| $50–$99 | Founding Community | Prior benefits, early launch and service-area updates, early notice when route planning begins in the supporter’s area, and optional Community Table recognition. |
| $100–$249 | Skagit Dash Launch Crew | Prior benefits plus one future $10 delivery credit. |
| $250–$499 | Community Builder | Prior benefits plus one future $25 delivery credit replacing the lower-level credit, optional recognition, and optional recognition in the first community-impact summary. |
| $500–$2,500 | Founding Partner | Prior benefits plus one future $50 delivery credit replacing lower-level credits, optional individual or local-business acknowledgment, and early invitations to approved public updates or events. |
Benefits are cumulative only where the table says “prior benefits.” Delivery credits do not stack. The highest qualifying credit replaces lower-level credits.
5. Future delivery credits
Delivery credits will not activate until:
- eligible customer operations begin;
- the credit and account systems have been tested and approved;
- the supporter or recipient is eligible under the applicable service-area and account rules; and
- Skagit Dash sends an activation notice with redemption instructions.
Until activation, a displayed credit is a future conditional benefit and cannot be used to place an order.
Founding Community delivery credits:
- have no expiration date unless Skagit Dash later adopts a lawful expiration rule and the affected supporter affirmatively agrees;
- are not subject to inactivity, dormancy, or service fees;
- may be used over more than one eligible transaction;
- retain any unused balance, which Skagit Dash will track until it is redeemed, transferred, redirected, refunded under these terms, or otherwise handled as required by applicable law; and
- will receive any cash-redemption treatment required by applicable law.
These terms intentionally do not describe a credit as having “no cash value.”
If Skagit Dash determines that customer operations or the credit system will not activate, Skagit Dash will notify each affected supporter. For the unused promised delivery-credit amount, the supporter may choose either:
- a refund equal to the unused promised delivery-credit amount; or
- another Skagit Dash or approved Community Table benefit of equal value, if offered and affirmatively accepted by the supporter.
This remedy applies to the unused promised delivery-credit amount only. It does not promise a refund of the entire campaign payment outside the Founding Community Refund Policy. Skagit Dash will follow any different result required by applicable law.
6. Gifting, redirection, and deferral
A supporter with an eligible delivery credit may:
- use the credit through an eligible Skagit Dash customer account;
- gift the credit to another eligible person;
- redirect the credit toward an approved Community Table activity; or
- defer use while no expiration rule applies.
Skagit Dash may require a request from the email address associated with the verified payment and reasonable identity or account verification. A recipient may need an eligible account and service area.
A Community Table redirection applies only to an approved activity and does not guarantee a specific recipient, partner, date, meal count, charitable deduction, or tax treatment.
If a supporter is outside an active service area, the supporter may gift, redirect, or defer the credit while no expiration rule applies.
7. Recognition and privacy
Private recognition is the default. Public recognition is optional at every benefit level. Skagit Dash will not publicly display a supporter’s name, business, organization, message, or other recognition information unless the supporter affirmatively chooses public recognition.
If public recognition is selected, its format, placement, timing, duration, and continued display are not guaranteed. A supporter may opt out before publication or later request removal as described below.
Exact payment amounts, payment references, email addresses, delivery-credit values, and private messages will not be publicly disclosed without specific permission or a legal requirement.
A supporter may request correction or removal of optional public recognition. Removal may not be possible from materials already printed or lawfully archived.
8. Communications
Skagit Dash may send messages reasonably necessary to confirm and administer a supporter’s payment, refund request, recognition choice, benefit eligibility, credit activation, or material change to these terms.
General promotional or marketing email is separate and optional. Declining marketing does not affect payment or benefit eligibility. Marketing messages must include the required unsubscribe method.
9. Changes, substitutions, and availability
Operational readiness, safety, demand, restaurant participation, service areas, and available resources may affect timing or availability. Skagit Dash may make a reasonable substitution when a non-credit benefit becomes impracticable, provided the substitution does not materially misrepresent the campaign.
Material changes will be disclosed. Changes will not create ownership, investment, charitable, employment, or guaranteed-service rights. Except where applicable law or the Refund Policy requires otherwise, changes in timing, service area, or operational plans do not automatically create a right to a full campaign refund.
10. Refunds, reversals, and chargebacks
Refund eligibility is governed by the Founding Community Refund Policy. A full refund, chargeback, reversal, or disputed payment cancels associated benefit eligibility. A partial refund reduces eligibility to the level supported by the retained verified amount.
11. Taxes
Supporters are responsible for obtaining their own tax advice. Skagit Dash does not represent that payments are charitable contributions or that benefits have any particular tax treatment.
