Skagit Dash Founding Community Refund Policy
Version 1.1
Effective upon publication
1. Scope
This policy explains when a payment to the Skagit Dash Founding Community campaign may be refunded. It does not govern future restaurant orders, delivery charges, restaurant agreements, driver relationships, or other Skagit Dash transactions.
2. Seven-day voluntary refund window
A supporter may request a full refund within 7 calendar days after the verified payment date.
After the seven-day window, a campaign payment is not ordinarily refundable except as described below or as required by applicable law.
3. Errors, duplicate charges, and unauthorized transactions
Duplicate charges, confirmed processing errors, and confirmed unauthorized transactions are eligible for correction or refund regardless of the ordinary seven-day request window, subject to reasonable verification, payment-provider procedures, and applicable law.
4. Campaign goal and operational changes
Not reaching the $20,000 campaign goal does not automatically create a refund right. The campaign states that verified funds will be used for the disclosed launch work even if the full goal is not reached.
Changes in launch timing, service area, restaurant participation, route planning, or operational readiness do not automatically create a refund right unless this policy or applicable law requires otherwise.
If Skagit Dash determines that a promised delivery credit will not activate, the supporter may choose a refund equal to the unused promised delivery-credit amount or another Skagit Dash or approved Community Table benefit of equal value, if offered and affirmatively accepted by the supporter, as described in the Supporter Benefit Terms. That remedy does not automatically require a refund of the entire campaign payment.
5. Requesting a refund
A supporter requesting a refund should contact Skagit Dash at contact@skagitdash.com and provide:
- the name and email address used for the payment;
- the payment date and amount;
- the payment confirmation or reference number, if available; and
- a brief explanation of the request.
Supporters should not email complete payment-card numbers, bank account numbers, passwords, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Skagit Dash may request reasonable information needed to verify identity, payment ownership, duplicate processing, or authorization.
6. Review and processing time
Skagit Dash will aim to:
- acknowledge a complete refund request within 3 business days;
- decide an ordinary request within 10 business days; and
- issue an approved refund promptly.
The payment provider or supporter’s financial institution may require additional time to post an issued refund.
7. Refund method and processing fees
Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method whenever possible.
For an eligible refund, Skagit Dash will refund the full supporter-paid amount and absorb any payment-processor refund fee charged to Skagit Dash. Skagit Dash will not deduct that processor fee from the supporter’s approved refund.
8. Effect on supporter benefits
A full refund, reversal, or chargeback cancels the related supporter-benefit level, recognition eligibility, and delivery credit.
A partial refund reduces the supporter’s benefit level to the level supported by the verified amount retained. Skagit Dash may remove or correct optional recognition associated with a refunded payment.
9. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Supporters should contact Skagit Dash promptly about a suspected error so the issue can be investigated. Nothing in this policy limits rights available under applicable payment-network rules or law.
Skagit Dash may suspend benefit fulfillment while a payment dispute, chargeback, suspected fraud, or authorization issue is reviewed.
10. Applicable rights
Nothing in this policy waives a consumer right that cannot legally be waived. If applicable law requires a different result, Skagit Dash will follow that requirement.
